Rakmana, Journal for Media and Communication Studies is a biannual scientific journal issued by the Department of Information Sciences of the Faculty of Information Sciences and Communication (Algiers University 03). Founded in April 2021, the first issue was published on July 1, 2021The magazine is concerned with publishing scientific research on media and communication phenomena exclusively in the digital environment, with the aim of keeping pace with them from a scientific standpoint, and also from a practical standpoint by providing consultations to bodies and organizations related to these phenomena.
The journal publishes research in Arabic, French, and especially English, in the electronic journalism fields , New media awareness, virtual public space, mass communication, new media, digital discourse analysis, digital communication semiology, digital marketing, and digital social and political communication.
All research published in the journal passes the expertise of at least two peer-reviewed professors, as the magazine includes in its staff expert professors in various media and communication specializations from Algeria and abroad, with experience and a prestigious scientific position. In their experience, they take into account the works originality in their novelty, timeliness, and in particular erudition terms.
The journal is directed to professors researchers, doctoral students, and those interested in scientific fields related to media and communication, including professionals, in Algeria and in all countries of the world.
The journal’s staff chose for the issues to be essentially thematic, that is, to address one phenomenon in each issue with in-depth analysis and dealing with it from all sides. With the possibility of publishing other studies outside the topic of the issue.
