الاستشراق وإسهاماته في كتابة التاريخ العثماني برنارد لويس أنموذجا

الملخص
: يعتبر الاستشراق من القضايا الفكرية الجوهرية التي لطالما أثارت جدلا بين الباحثين في شتى الميادين، ولعلّ طبيعة الدراسات الاستشراقية التي اهتمت في معظمها بكل ما يخصّ الشرق من دين ولغة وتراث وعادات وتقاليد هي التي تثير ذلك الجدل، خاصة وأنّ أصحاب هذه الدراسات كما هو معروف مؤلفون غربيون تختلف توجهاتهم، وهذا الجدل ليس وليد الساعة بل له جذور تاريخية تعود إلى البدايات الأولى للاستشراق منذ أوائل العصور الوسطى، وبالنظر إلى الوسائل المتعددة والمتنوعة التي اعتمدها المستشرقون في البحث عن كل ما يخصّ حضارة الشرق وتاريخه تتضح لنا جليا الأهداف والدوافع الحقيقية لتلك الدراسات سواء كانت دينية، استعمارية أو علمية، والموضوع الذي بين أيدينا يعالج أحد النماذج الاستشراقية التي لطالما ركزت اهتمامها حول كل ما يخص الإسلام منذ ظهوره حتى الفترة المعاصرة، وهو شخصية برنارد لويس الذي وجه اهتمامه في فترة من الفترات لدراسة بعض الجوانب من التاريخ العثماني باعتبار أنّ العثمانيون مثّلوا الإسلام طوال العصور الحديثة، الأمر الذي سيمكننا من الاطلاع على إسهامات لويس في هذا المجال ومحاولة معرفة المنهج أو الأسلوب الذي اعتمده في دراساته من خلال تبيان ما له و ما عليه. Orientalism and its contributions to the writing of Ottoman history Bernard Lewis as a model Abstract: Orientalism is one of the issues that have always been controversial among researches in various fields. Perhaps, the nature of oriental studies which, in general, have interested in everything related to the East including religion, language, heritage, customs and traditions, and which themselves evoke such argument, especially because the authors of these studies are western writers whose attitudes differ. This controversy is not contemporary; it has historical roots that go back to the beginnings of orientalism since the middle ages. In view of the various means adopted by the orientalists in the search for everything related to the civilization of the East and its history. The real goals and purposes of those studies become clear to us, whether they are religious, colonial or scientific. The subject in our hands addresses one of the orientalists that have always focused on everything about Islam from its beginnings to the contemporary ages; he is Bernard Lewis who devoted his focus to the study of some aspects of Ottoman history, as the Ottomans were those who represented Islam throughout the modern ages. This will enable us to see the contributions of Lewis in this area and try to know the method or style adopted in his studies by showing what belongs to him and what it does not.
