Résumé
The object of this paper is to study the banking efficiency in the economic growth over the period going from 1990 to 2012, for three developing countries which are Algeria, Morocco, and Tunisia, and which began economic and financial restructurings since 1990. The objective of this study is to examine empirically by the Johansen’s cointegration method, some variables input/output of the banking intermediation "credits in % GDP, deposits in %GDP, and M2 in % GDP), as well as the economic openness and the inflation, on the endogenous variable the growth rate of the GDP. The results of this study showed that the banking system in the three countries is inefficient in the economic growth and over different degrees. This lets think that the financial reforms did not allow the banks of these three countries to improve their efficiency.
