الملخص: ومن أبرز الشخصيات التي تصدت للاستعمار الفرنسي بالجزائر الأمير عبد القادر الجزائري من خلال مبايعته من طرف القبائل التي كانت تقطن بالغرب الجزائري ،فناضل من أجل تحقيق الحرية والحفاظ على الشخصية الجزائرية وقيمها الإسلامية بكل السبل ولكن رغم تأسيسه للدولة الجزائرية بكل أجهزتها العسكرية والاقتصادية والسياسية ،لم يسعفه الحظ في القضاء على الاستعمار مما أضطره لمغادرة البلاد مستسلمًا لأحكام فرنسا، ليقضي فترة من الزمن بسجون فرنسا ثم يرحل إلى دمشق ليعيش المنفى الاختياري، ويؤسس لقيم التعايش والسلم بها مع فتنة دمشق 1960 وحاولا إنقاذ المسحيين الذين باتوا يعانون من الاضطهاد من طرف بعض المسلمين بتجنيده رجاله المغاربة وسعيه الدءوب لحل الأزمة وبما تلقاه من شكر من دول أجنبية راعت مسعى الأمير في ذلك. Abstract: EL Emir Abdul Qadir is the most prominent figures who wrestled against French colonialism in Algeria through his allegiance to the tribes that lived in the west of Algeria. He struggled to achieve freedom and preserve the Algerian personality and its Islamic values by all means. But despite its establishment of the Algerian state with all entire military, He did not succeed in eradicating colonialism, forcing him to leave the country, surrendering to France. He spent a period of time in the prisons of France and then went to Damascus to live in exile. There, he faced a crisis of the values of coexistence and peace in 1960 and tried to rescue the Christians who have been suffering from oppression of some Muslims by recruiting his Moroccan men and his strenuous efforts to resolve the crisis. Consequently, he received the thanks from foreign countries took into account his endeavor.
