الملخص: يتناول هذا البحث بالدراسة؛ المؤرخ أ.د. محمود سعيد عمران (1933-2015م) باعتباره مؤرخا للحروب الصليبية. في مقدورنا اعتبار أ.د. عمران، واحداً من أكثر المؤرخين أهمية في مجال دراسة العلاقات بين الشرق والغرب في العصور الوسطى ليس في مصر والعالم العربي فقط، بل على المستوى الدولي أيضا دونما مبالغة. لذا، فإن هذا البحث يتناول، حياته، ومؤلفاته العديدة، ومنهجه في الكتابة التاريخية، ويسلط الضوء على رؤيته التاريخية تجاه ذلك الصدام الكبير بين الغرب والشرق. الكلمات المفتاحية: أ.د. محمود سعيد عمران، الحروب الصليبية، العلاقات بين الشرق والغرب Abstract: This paper does spotlights on prof. Mahmoud Said Omran professor of the middle ages at university of Alexandria as historian of the Crusades. We can consider prof Omarn one of the most important historians in field of relations between east and west in the middle ages not only in Egypt and the Arab world but also the world without any exaggeration. Therefore, this paper deals with his life and publications and his historical prespective in that vital epoch in history of the confront between east and west.
