الملخص
الملخص تبرز أهمية البحث من أهمية تحويلات السودانيين العاملين بالخارج كمصدر رئيسي لموارد النقد الاجنبي في السودان، ويهدف إلى تحليل الآثار الاقتصادية لهذه التحويلات وبيان أهميتها النسبية مقارنة ببعض المؤشرات الاقتصاديةالكلية الأخرى. وتمثلت فرضيات البحث في وجود علاقة طردية بين تدفقات تحويلات السودانيين العاملين بالخارج وكل من الناتج المحلي الاجمالي واحتياطي النقد الأجنبي والصادرات السلعية، وقد أثبتت نتائج التقدير القياسي صحة هذه الفرضيات، وأوصى البحث بضرورة الاهتمام بآليات جذب تحويلات العاملين بالخارج في السودان وتفعيل دور السفارات والقنصليات في اجتذابها. بالإضافة إلى توفير البيئة الجاذبة لاستثمارات وتحويلات العاملين والسعي لاستقرار سياسات النقد الأجنبي وسعر الصرف. Abstract This research evaluates the economic effects of remittances of Sudanese working abroad (SWA) on Sudan economy.Significance of this research comes from the role of the SWA remittances as a major source of foreign exchange for the country. It aims to assess the relative importance of remittance inflows compared to some other macroeconomic indicators. The assessment is built on three hypothesesincluding the existence of positive relationships between the remittances of the SWA, on the one hand, and merchandise exports, Gross Domestic Product (GDP) and foreign exchange reserves, on the other hand. The results obtained from econometric analysis prove the validity of these hypotheses. The research recommendsdrawing more attention to improving performance of the mechanisms for attracting remittances of SWA and activating the role of Sudan embassies and consulates in this matter, besides, providing conducive environment for SWA investments and remittances, and stabilizing policies of foreign exchange and exchange rates.
