Abstract

In this work, we conducted a parametric study of the air-to-ground heat-conditioning system and used the air-to-ground heat exchanger or the Canadian well, which is an integrated cooling system with low energy consumption that exploits the geothermal inertia based on the experimental design method. In this study, we want to study the effect of three factors and their interactions, thermal conductivity, tube diameter, and tube thickness, on temperature using a complete two-level factorial design to obtain a moderate temperature exit from the studied tube. By conducting several experiments and after studying the validity of the model by comparing the experimental results with the results obtained from the equations, we found that increasing the value of the tube thickness and thermal conductivity while decreasing the value of the tube circle diameter, we reached a good efficiency of the studied model.
