Ibrahim In The Qur'an: Source Of The Monotheistic Religion – How Does The Audience Coincide With The Abrahamic Culture? –

Authors : Ben Habib Abdelmadjid .

Abstract

Anthropological and historical issues are at the origin of problematizing the Qur'an in both Orientalism and classical Islamic thought. Despite the difference between the two visions, since the first one desecrates the Qur'an, while the second makes it sacred; however the two visions refer to redundant analyzes. To overcome this epistemological crisis we suggest focusing on Ibrahim's dialogue in the Qur'an, by which this character becomes religiously Monotheistic. Then he calls the other to Monotheism. Based on this dialogue, the current audience may identify itself with Ibrahim to worship God deeper and strengthening that worship.
