الملخص
Dr. Ahmed Aroua has never been a professor of philosophy, but his specialty has been very far from philosophy (we know that he worked as a professor of social medicine at the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Algiers, after obtaining a doctorate in medicine from the University of Montpellier, But he was haunted by the great philosophical questions, as evidenced by his important book L'Islam et la science (1969), in which he speaks mainly about religious knowledge and scientific knowledge in Islamic ideology; Which led him to engage in an intellectual and philosophical debate with material philosophy, as expressed by Marxist philosophy in that period ,In other words, his record was, in our contemporary expression, the tendency of positivism in philosophy, ie with the positivist perception of science.
