The current study attempts at investigating the importance of translation corpora in teaching writing for E.F.L. classrooms, mainly at the university level. Teachers may help learners to carry out cross linguistic comparisons between the Arabic and English languages by means of translation corpora and also develop insights about matters of cohesion and coherence in both languages for the sake of producing good writings, especially when learners become more conscious about their selection of cohesive devices, and correct their mistakes autonomously. Translation corpora may serve a useful teaching material in written expression classrooms. Key Words : Writing Skill, Translation Corpora, Cohesion, Coherence
