الملخص
رافقت الكنيسة المسيحية حركات الإستيطان الأوروبي ضمن مساعي رجال الدين في نشر المسيحية ومساعدة المستضعفين على تخطي الضعف والفقر والمرض وتوفير للمستوطنين الجدد في ما وراء البحار فضاء الكنيسة وصلواتها. في هذا البحث نحاول أن نسلط الضوء على الحركة التبشيرية التي خاضها القس الفرنسي'العارف' شارل لافيجري ، الذي ترك تاريخا خاصا به في الفترة التي امتدت بين سنة تعيينه 1867 ونهاية مهمته في الجزائر عام 1880. كانت الجزائر بوابة استراتيجية لإمكانية نشر تعاليم الديانة المسيحية ومنها إعداد الجو الملائم لاستقبال الأوروبيين بمختلف أجناسهم. مثلت تجربة الكنيسة المسيحية في الجزائر خلال القرن 19تجربة خصبة طوال النشاط الذي اضطلع به لافيجري، منذ توليته رئيسا للأساقفة على أبرشية الجزائر 1867، فضلا على نضاله العظيم للقيام بالأعمال الخيرية لإسعاف المستوطنين العجزة وتوجيه النشاط الروحي للكنيسة في خدمة الإستيطان، ونضاله لتغيير طبيعة الحكم مع ما يتماشى ومصلحة المستوطنين. ارتأينا أن نقف على مساهمة هاته الشخصية في بعث الحركة الاستيطانية في الجزائر وتأثيرها على الوسط الأهلي. the Christian Church accompanied the European settlement movements in the efforts of the clergy in spreading Christianity and assisting the new vulnerable people abroad,In this paper we want to highlight the missionary movement waged by the French pastor Lavigerie, who left his own history between the period of his appointment in 1867 and the end of his mission in Algeria in 1880 .Algeria was a strategic hub for the possibility of spreading the teachings of the Christianity religion, as a consequence the preparation of a favourable atmosphere for the reception of Europeans of all races. The experience of the Christian Church in Algeria during the19th century represented a fertile experience throughout the activity undertaken by Lavigerie, since his appointment as Archbishop of the Archdiocese of Algeria in 1867.As well as his great struggle to do charity work to help the elderly settlers and direct the spiritual activity of the church in the service of settlements, and his struggle to change the nature of government, in line with the interests of the settlers. We wanted to shed light on the participation oh this personality in boosting the settlement movement in Algeria and whothought to influence the community
