الملخص

شكلت الضفة الغربية على غرار قطاع غزة , أحد أهم المناطق المتبقية بعد الصراع العربي الإسرائيلي عام 1948 داخل الأراضي الفلسطينية, وبذلك وجب أن يتحدد مصيرها خاصة في ظل تنامي وتصاعد القوى الصهيونية التي كانت في كل مرة تفتك المزيد من الأراضي لتستحوذ على الجزء الأكبر وأضعاف ما كان مخصصا لها وفق القرارات التي أقرتها هيئة الأمم. فجاء قرار الوحدة بين الأردن وفلسطين وذلك بضم أراضي الضفة الغربية إلى المملكة الأردنية, هذا القرار الذي مهدت له جملة من الظروف والعوامل, وتعددت فيه الأسباب بصورة أو بأخرى, بعضها تعلق بالطرف الأردني, والبعض الآخر بالطرف الفلسطيني في ظل التوافق النسبي بين المصالح والمطامح الوطنية للأردن وبين المسؤولية التاريخية التي اقتضتها الظروف آنذاك لتحديد مصير الضفة . The West Bank, like the Gaza Strip, was one of the most important areas remaining after the 1948 Arab-Israeli conflict inside the Palestinian territories, and thus its fate must be determined, especially in view of the growing and rising Zionist forces Which was each time losing more land to take over the bulk of the allocation of what was allocated to them in accordance with resolutions approved by the United Nations. The decision of the unity between Jordan and Palestine by annexing the territories of the West Bank to the Kingdom of Jordan, this decision which paved the way for a number of circumstances and factors, and the number of reasons in one way or another, some of them related to the Jordanian party and others to the Palestinian side in light of the relative compatibility between the interests and national aspirations of Jordan and the historical responsibility required by circumstances determine the fate of the West Bank.
