الملخص: لقد جاء مقالنا موسوما ب: سؤال الهوية وأزمة الحداثة في الفكر العربي المعاصر. وقد حاولنا من خلاله الوقوف على ما يجب أن نكون عليه كعرب ومسلمين إزّاء المشروع الحداثي الغربي. ولتحليل ذلك، فقد اعتمدنا في هذا المقال على ثلاثة مطالب، كان أولها: الأزمة كمحرض على التفكير في الهوية، حيث الكلام عن أزمة المجتمعات العربية بفعل الوجه المضمر للحداثة الغربية، التي تجسد من خلال التجربة الاستعمارية التي خاضها الغرب ضد الشعوب العربية. وفي هذا حديث عن البدايات الأولى للعلاقة بين الذات العربية والآخر الغربي، التي تميّزت بالتوتر والصدام، بفعل الهيمنة والسيطرة التي مُورست على المجتمعات العربية. ولا بد من الإشارة هنا إلى السياسة الممنهجة التي اعتمدها المستعمر الغربي في طمس معالم الهوية العربية، وضرب ثوابتها، وهو الأمر الذي جعل الإنسان العربي دائما في موقع الدفاع عن الذات. وكحل لهذا المأزق، كان لا بد من تجاوز هذه الأزمة، وعدم اختزال التاريخ في لحظة واحدة تكون بمثابة النقطة السوداء التي تثنينا عن الاستمرار والتقدم، والتفكير بإيجابية في الراهن والتطلع لمستقبل أفضل، وذلك بالفصل بين الجانب الإيديولوجي للمشروع الحداثي، وبين جانبه المعرفي. وهذا ما عالجناه من خلال المطلب الثاني، المعنون ب: ضرورة تجاوز الأزمة والتأسيس لهوية منفتحة. أمّا المطلب الثالث والأخير فجاء بعنوان الحداثة الغربية وإعادة التفكير في الهوية، حيث إعادة النظر في العلاقة بين الذات العربية والآخر الغربي، وفق ما تتطلبه التحديات والظروف الراهنة، التي باتت تتطلب عقلانية في التفكير، وموضوعية في النظر إلى الواقع تجعلنا نقبل بالاختلاف مع الآخر، والتواصل معه، والمشاركة في صناعة الحضارة الإنسانية، لكن دون أن نفقد هويتنا وأصالتنا. Abstract: This article is entitled: The Issue of Identity and the Crisis of Modernity in Contemporary Arab Thought. We tried to find out how the Arabs and Muslims should be towards the Western modernist project. To analyze this, we relied on three parts: The first one deals with the crisis as an instigator of identity and which is debated in the Arab societies and expressed by the latent face of Western modernity, which was embodied by the colonial experience of the West against the Arab people. This indicates the early beginnings of the relationship between the Arab self and the western one, characterized by tension and clash, due to the domination and control exercised on Arab societies. It is necessary to refer to the systematic policy adopted by the western colonizer in deforming the features of Arab identity; this latter made the Arab self in the position of self defense. As a solution to this impasse, it was necessary to overcome this crisis, by avoiding the view that shorten history in a single moment, which serves as the black point that prevents us from progressing, also by thinking positively in the present, looking for a better future by separating the ideological side of the modernist project from its cognitive one. This is what we have analyzed through the second headline, entitled: The need to overcome the crisis and establish an open identity. Whereas, the third requirement was related to the question of Western modernity and the rethinking of identity. It revolves on the demand of reconsideration the relationship between the Arab self and the western one, as required by the challenges and current circumstances, which require objectivity and rational thinking, enabling us differentiate between them without losing our identity and originality.
