الملخص

عرفت الجزائر قبل واثناء وبعد الاستقلال تحولات جذرية في التوزيع المكاني لسكانها والذي كان لها الأثر العميق في النمو السريع لسكان الحضر على حساب المناطق الريفية. الشيء الذي دفعنا الى تناول الظاهرة الحضرية من منظور ديموغرافي احصائي، وجعل هذا العمل المنظم في جزئيين أداة لا غنى عنه لكثير من الباحثين ومستخدمي البيانات المتعلقة بالدولة الجزائرية. الاول يتناول تعريف المناطق الحضرية والطبقات التي اعتمدت في الجزائر، فضلا عن المعايير المختلفة المعتمدة في اخر احصاء عام للسكان والسكن الذي نفذ سنة 2008 لتحديد الطابع الحضري للمنطقة. أما الجزء الثاني يعرض النمو الحضري، المرتبط ارتباطا وثيقا بالنمو الديموغرافي من جهة وبالنمو المكاني من جهة أخرى. ناهيك عن تناول تطور التجمعات الحضرية عبر الزمن وفق التشتت خلال الاحصاءات العامة للسكان والسكن التي نفذت في الجزائر بعد الاستقلال، مع اعطاء محاولة لتحديد عوامل ارتفاع معدلات التحضر. Abstract Front, during and after independence, Algeria knew radical changes in the space distribution of its population, which had a major impact on the rapid growth of the urban population at the expense of the rural areas. That led us to approach the urban phenomenon from a demographic and statistical point of view and to make of this work organized in two parts, essential tools for many researchers and users of relative data at the Algerian State. The first treats the definition of the urban areas and the classes adopted in Algeria, as well as various criteria retained at the time of the last census of the population and the housing set up in 2008 to determine the urban character of the area. The second part presents the urban growth, which is closely related on the population growth on the one hand and the space growth of the other. The evolution in the time of the urban gatherings was also analyzed according to the general statistics on the population and housing established in Algeria after independence, with an aim of determining the factors of the increase in the rates of urbanization. key words Urbanization, Rural areas, Urban areas, Urban Growth, Demographic growth, Spatial growth.
