The Corona Pandemic And Its Effects On The International Community

Abstract
The COVID-19 hit the world that was unprepared for it. Governments worldwide were left with few options but to shut down their economies and to order people to stay at home. They have deployed economic restrictions never seen before as lockdowns and travel bans in an attempt to slow down the rate of infections around the world. This pandemic had provoked a massive economic downturn, that created a financial crisis in many parts of the globe. Moreover, it had a strong impact on low income households, pushing a large majority of societies around the world into extreme poverty. Consequently, governments vowed to address economic and health crises by protecting jobs and investing in the reseach and development of treatments and vaccines with the hope of slowing down the spread of the disease. However, that was not an easy task, especially with the human and economic costs that resulted from this pandemic.
