الملخص
This study seeks to search for the concept of the city and its importance as a field for sociological study, and to stand up on various theoretical approaches that involve logical principles for the sociological treatment of the city and its interpretation, how to build it and its dynamics, and to search for its dimensions, historical stages and geographical distributions, and the most important functions and factors affecting the formation of cities Like the Algerian cities, their growth and their distinction as the factor of migration, demographic growth and industrialization ... This study shows that the city is a result of human assembly, and from the real interaction between man and man, and between man and place, and this interaction does not take place in a vacuum but rather is governed by intellectual frameworks and Technology expresses the historical process of the city’s community.
