الملخص
تهدف هذه الدراسة إلى إلقاء الضوء على حالة الكتابة عند العرب قبل الإسلام، وذلك من خلال دراسة جذورها وتاريخها وأين وجدت ومن أين جاءت إلى العرب، ثم دراسة خصائصها وحيثياتها قبل نزول القران الكريم الذي دلت بعض آياته على أن العرب قبله كانوا أميّين وأنّه هو الكتاب الموثق الأول في تاريخهم.
