الملخص
An Outlook on The Relationship Between World and Comparative Literatures: The Origin, Term, Scope, and Function in Perspective This research work tackles the relationship between world and comparative literatures from the perspective of their origins, terms, scopes, and functions, with a particular attention to the coinage, concept, history, and function of world literature, with a consideration of its status as a critical and comparative practice, taking into account the views and methods of its students and researchers on both levels, the academic and the cultural. This appears together through tracing the concept of comparative literature and its function by recognizing the differences and similarities with the concept of world literature, and the traditional overlapping between them in order to make prominent the relationship between world and comparative concepts. Thus, this work tries to pinpoint this relationship without excluding what is distinct about each of them. This work tries also to discuss the definition of comparative literature, its term and function through the traditional aspects it assumed within and without universities, its main tendencies, including the French and the American, reaching the new trends and applications on the local and international levels. Eventually, it handles the idea of world literature as a comparative practice by spotlighting the overlapping of several literary and critical movements, their interaction and impact upon comparative literature such as translation, postcolonial studies, images, literary history, technical comparison, the internet, globalization, and the developments of world literary terms and values. Key words: world literature, comparative literature, critical practice, new comparative applications يعالج هذا البحث قضية العلاقة بين الأدبين العالمي والمقارن من حيث النشأة والمصطلح والمجال والوظيفة، وذلك من خلال الوقوف على مصطلح الأدب العالمي ومفهومه وتاريخه ووظيفته، وتخصيص الحديث عنه بوصفه ممارسة نقدية ومقارنة، ومن ثم إبراز الفهم المعاصر للأدب العالمي من خلال وجهات نظر ومناهج الكثير من دارسيه على المستويين الجامعي والثقافي العام. ويأتي ذلك إلى جانب تتبع مفهوم الأدب المقارن ووظيفته بذكر ما اتفق من الآراء على تعريفه وما اختلف منها، وما ظل متشابكاً تقليدياً للوصول إلى محاولة إبراز العلاقة بين الأدبين العالمي والمقارن في ظل وجود التمايز والاختلاف اللذين لا يلغيان التداخل بين الأدبين. لذا فقد حاول البحث تقديم صورة للعلاقة بين الأدبين دون أن يلغي ما بينهما من اتفاق واختلاف. ويخوض البحث في تعريف الأدب المقارن ومصطلحه ووظيفته عبر مظاهره التقليدية في الجامعات وخارجها، بالإضافة إلى الاتجاهين الرئيسين الفرنسي والأمريكي، وصولاً إلى الاتجاهات والتطبيقات الجديدة على الصعيدين المحلي والعالمي. ويصل البحث في النهاية إلى فكرة الأدب العالمي بوصفه ممارسة مقارنة عبر تسليط الضوء على تداخل مجالات أدبية ونقدية عدة وتفاعلها وتأثيرها في الأدب المقارن مثل الترجمة ودراسات ما بعد الاستعمار والصور والتاريخ الأدبي والمقارنة التقنية والإنترنت والعولمة وتطور المصطلحات والقيم الأدبية والعالمية. الكلمات المفتاحية: أدب عالمي، أدب مقارن، الممارسة النقدية، التطبيقات المقارنة الجديدة.
