Auteurs : Mbarki Noureddine .

Résumé

Abstract: Are Sovereignty and tolerance compatible in the Leviathan Stat of Hobbes? It is a question that is open to several interpretations. One of the currents of thought thinks the impossibility of reconciling them since they are not belong to the same register. One is religious and the other is keeping reason as capable of self-regulation without the help of god. In this case, community life has become impossible. Each person cannot come to live in peace. Hobbes tries in his way to deal with the theological-political question because he is interested in his time. On its part, the Leviathan State does not deny the possibility of reconciling between sovereignty and tolerance. What are his arguments then? Key words: Sovereignty, Tolerance, Leviathan state, Religion
