Integrating Child Protection Issues In The Framework Of Mdgs And Sdgs

Abstract
Children around the world are at an increased risk of lifelong developmental challenges, mainly malnutrition, HIV infection, and other physical, emotional and social problems, which affect negatively on the development of communities. Therefore, protecting children from harm has become the focus of the international conferences, especially the millennium summit, which ended with the adoption of the 8 MDGs and the sustainable development summit which concluded with 17 SDGs. Thus, the aim of this paper is to assess the progress achieved in targets related to child protection in the framework of these goals.
