الملخص
الملخص: يتناول هذا المقال حملة اللورد إكسمـوث علـى مـدينـة الجـزائـر سنـة 1816 من خلال كتابات رحّـالـة محـلي، وهو أحد شيوخ الزوايا ويدعى عبد الرحمان بن ادريس الأكبر، القنصل الامريكي في الجزائر، وهما شاهدا عيان على الحملة. ولطالما اتهم الغربيون الكتاب المحليين بعدم الموضوعية ونقص الدقة في رواية الأحداث، بيد أن ما كتبه الرحالة المحلي يثبت عكس ذلك تماما. إذ قدم هذا الأخير رواية لأحداث الحملة أكثر دقة وتفصيلا، وتتجاوز بكثير من حيث موضوعيتها وحيادية كاتبها رواية القنصل الأمريكي وليام شالر. Résumé : Ce article parle d’une invasion de Lord Exmouth sur la ville d’Alger en 1816 à travers les écrits de voyageurs local qui était un savant et du « cheikh » de la Zaouïa : ABD-EL-RAHMANE BEN IDRISS-EL AKBAR et un consul étranger, il représente L’U.S.A en Algérie comme deux témoins oculaires sur cet évènement. Les occidentaux avaient suffisamment accusé nos écrivains et historiens du non objectivité et de la non netteté de leurs écrits. Mais ce qu’avait affirmé ce voyageur indigène était le contraire. Il avait dépassé les explications du consul américain WILLIAM SHALLER et ceci à travers les arguments qu’il a présenté. Abstract: The campaign of Lord Exmouth on the city of Algiers in 1816 –according to local travelers and a foreign consul - comparative study- This topic told about Lord Exmouth invasion on the city of Algiers in 1816 through local traveler's writings, who was a scientist and Abderrahmane Ben Idriss El Akbar "sheikh" of Zaouia and by a foreign consul, who represents the USA in Algeria .These two persons were two eyewitnesses to this event. Westerners had enough accused our writers and historians about non objectivity and non sharpness of their writings. But what was said by this indigenous traveler was the opposite. He had overtaken the explanations of the American consul "William Shaller" through his different arguments.
