Tendances De La Nuptialité Algérienne Avant Et Après La Décennie De La Violence (1986-2008)

Résumé

Over the course of the conflict, armed violence has resulted in the direct killing of 200.000 persons and has transformed threatening behaviour. The security situation in Algeria has improved considerably during recent years, but armed movements has continued to spread insecurity in certain regions. The main indirect impact of armed violence is an exacerbation of the urban housing shortage, especially as the conflict has displaced some 1.5 million people, Levels of poverty rose between 1988 and 1995 but appear to have stagnated since then. Algeria marked by considerable demographic changes, the marriage pattern is clearly influenced by a number of economic and social factors, it was a consequence of the economical and political crisis during the Black decade (1991-2000), a decline in marriages and celibacy increase. The objective of this study is to analyze the reflections of this period on the trends and the levels of nuptiality.
