The present research focuses on the analyses of clinical manifestations, video-ictal EEG recording, medication use of Childhood Absence Epilepsy CAE and Juvenile Absence Epilepsy JAE in Algiers population. 45 patients were identified by a review of all clinical information, age at seizure onset, main video-ictal EEG recording, medication used. EEG recording performed at our EEG laboratory from 2009-2013. Absences were severe and the only seizure type in CAE, but non-predominant in JAE. Epileptic hallmark of CAE was 3Hz spike and slow wave complexes GSW, and 3,5 Hz GSW in JAE.
