الملخص
The récentstudy were interested in preparing a standardscale that measusures the level of social support to mothers of mental handicaped children , and after seeing the theoretical literatureofsocial support and the previous study ,we have fownded a scale formed of(78) items devided on six dimensions which represents the resouses possible of supports to the mother of handicapped mental child its :1/ the dimension of small family(the husband and other children ), 2/ the dimension of the big family (the grand father,uncles ,aunts ,3/ associations of the handicapped parents ,4 /psychological and pedagogical centers for children with mental disabilities , 5 / the neighbours , 6/the friends ,in order to achieve that objective researcher tried to verify the internal consistencyand reliability of this scale that showed them to( 12) experts from ibn khaldoun university , these professors have made some remarkes wich lead the researcher to some modification in the study , the main modifications was in the number of the itemsfrom (78) to (70) and dimensions from ( 6) to( 5) after combing the dimensions of friends and neighbours ,as a result of the differences happening in algerian, sociaty the porcentage of agreement ranged between( 90__ 95%) . After the statics analysis to measure the scale was practiced on (70) mothers whose children were registered in the centres of tiaret and tissmsilt , we has been obtaind internal consistency for all items except the item( 11) and (47) which have been cancelled ,the total reliability of the scale was calculated by the alpha karonbach coefficient (0,906) ,as was calculated the reliability also by half division its value ranged between (0, 867__ 0,808) . Once verified this scale can be used to measure the level of social support for mothers of children with mental disabilities in algerian environment .
