The aim of the research was to uncover the journalists' point of view about the Media Law 1990, and its importance in controlling media practice, The research reached important results, including: That most journalists were briefed on legal materials, and considered that the media law is a birth certificate for the press in Algeria, A large percentage of journalists called for an amendment to be in line with the reality of the profession. A significant percentage of them said that they are being harassed and a large percentage of them expressed the need to improve their social conditions, expand freedom of expression and remove all restrictions on newspapers. The percentage of journalists who believe they are performing the pre-defined duties in the law is estimated to be more than half, while the rest confirmed that they are violating some duties and committing professional mistakes, including trying to trace and monitor the specifics of the important figures and publishing some false news. , And the majority expressed the fact that it harmed the media field, while the lower percentage expressed a tight grip on the jurisdiction of the executive branch. The majority expressed the inability of the ministry to compensate the council.
