الملخص

 The objectives of the Islamic Sharia and its role in establishing the bases of human rights  The significance of human rights in modern laws is based on the natural law derived from pure human mind. It is also based on the principles of law based in the human sense and existence, which resulted in individual freedom and social act. These principles exclude the fact that human rights are set by God’s laws; instead they replace these laws by natural laws which have no relation with God Almighty. However, according to the Islamic sharia (laws), the human rights have a global meaning based on the protection of people’s interests and basic necessities. These include the sharia’s objectives; preservation of the religion, mind honour, and profits. This corresponds to the goals of the Quran and prophetic sunna in which humans strongly believe. In the modern laws, the purpose of human rights is confirming the Western values based on the principles of justice and individual freedom, and spreading them inside societies through media publicity. Nevertheless the goal of human rights in Islam is achieving world peace which is based on the implementation of the Islamic sharia, protection of people’s interests in this world and the hereafter and preserving them from corruption. These interests are not linked to a particular category, gender, colour or nation.Yet, they include all human beings, and aim at finding a world where the human would enjoy human dignity and freedom of religion. In that world the human being would get free from injustice, tyranny and exclusion within an integrated system for the rights and fundamental freedoms.
