الملخص

This study aimed to identify the importance of protecting children in armed conflict, which is one of the most important provisions and principles enshrined in international humanitarian law and is required by the States and parties to armed conflict and armed groups non governmental alike, and under international humanitarian law has children as civilians are protected in two different situations, should in the first case to protect them from all forms of ill treatment when falling into the hands of hostile forces, and to be in the second case be subjected civilians who are not taking part in hostilities to attack under any circumstances, and given the extreme vulnerability that characterizes children, the Geneva Conventions of 1949 and their Additional Protocols of 1977 on a series of rules that give special protection for children and enhanced, including the Geneva Conventions and their Additional Protocols of at least (25) Article refer specifically to children.
