الملخص

ابتكر المسلمون النَّقْط والشكل، لتمييز الحروف بعضها عن بعض، وللتفريق بينها في النطق، فصانوا بذلك العربية عن التصحيف، وحفظوها من عوارض التحريف. وتناول هذا البحث عشرين كتابا من كتب التراجم التي لم توضع أصلا للضبط، لكن ضمت في ثناياها الكثير من الضبط بالحروف لما هو مشكل و مشتبه من الأعلام . وقد جاء هذا البحث للتعريف بهذه الكتب ومناهج مؤلفيها مع نماذج متنوعة من تقييداتها ، وأصحاب هذه الكتب من أهل القرن السابع الهجري إلى القرن الثالث عشر الهجري . و المنهج المتبع في البحث هو المنهج الوصفي والانتقائي . Pointing names and figures in early biographical books of Muslims Early Muslim experts have invented pointing and punctuation to have distinction among similar alphabetical letters in regards to their writings and in respect to their way of pronunciation. This paper aims at studying nearly 20 works of biographical books in Islam for authors lived in 7 to 13 centuries in Islamic calendar. Those 20 chosen publications in biography of names and figures are not made on purpose for pointing and punctuation, yet they do serve a lot on it, by pointing existing names of figures within them. In addition, the paper studies methodologies, biographies, and presents life of their authors. The research uses descriptive and analytical approach in electing and pursuing the study.
