Distributed Artificial Intelligence And Cooperation In The Logical Programming Framework

Authors : Sellami Mokhtar .

Abstract

For many years, research in artificial Intelligence has been mostly oriented toward a single agent, with fixed knowledge and a specified goal. This inherently limits the scale and the complexity of the problems that AI can solve. Recently Distributed Artificial Intelligence (DAI) has become the main concern of many researchers in Artificial Intelligence. DAI is concerned with how automated agents can be designed to interact effectively. DAI is divided into two basic classes: Distributed Problem Solving and Multi-Agent Systems. Our research is concerned with the possibly integration of logic programming, distributed problem solving and MUlti-agent Systems by formulating the different steps provided by the logic programming language theory.
