Literature:an American Dimension (synopsis)

Abstract

The endeavour has been urged by the need to put at our student’s disposal an instrumental as well as analytical manual on literature, particularly on U.S literature. Our students’ standards and their needs have therefore been to a large extent our regulating parameters in this work. We have been guided throughout by the student ‘s need for model-based step-by step analyses, keeping in mind his preoccupations and interest, mainly those related to cross-cultural aspects of literature .
