الملخص
عمدت سلطات الاحتلال الفرنسي منذ أن وطأت أقدامها أرض الجزائر إلى القضاء على الهوية الجزائرية، مستهدفة المدارس والمساجد والزوايا، إما بتخريبها أو قطع التموين المادي عنها. حيث حولت مداخيل الأوقاف إلى الخزينة الفرنسية، وجعلت التعليم فرنسيا وأقامت الكنائس. لتقحم بذلك عادات وتقاليد دخيلة على المجتمع الجزائري، مهددة ثقافته وهويته. وأمام هذا الوضع، قامت جماعة من العلماء بتأسيس جمعية العلماء المسلمين التي حملت لواءإعادة بعث أصول الشعب الجزائري الحقيقية، بتأسيس النوادي والمدارس والمساجد وتعليم النشء اللغة العربية والدين والفقه، منتجة بذلك جيلا متشبعا بتعاليم روحية ودينية، مكنته من التفكير في محاربة الاستعمار. Since the colonization, the French authorities aimed at the eradication of Algerian identity, targeting schools, mosques and Koranic schools, either by deconstructing or reduced funding. They transmitted the income endowments to the French Treasury, in addition, they rendered the education into French one, and established churches, transforming the habits and traditions of Algerian society, menacingits culture and identity. Facing this situation, a group of scientists had created the Association of Muslim Ulemas, who bore the banner to revive the origins of the Algerian people, by creating clubs, schools and mosques in which young people learn the Arabic language and religion to produce a well flourished generation, with a religious spirit, helped him to think of the struggle against colonialism.
