الملخص

تتناول الدراسة نشأة وتطور المكتبة المركزية بجامعة دمشق وأقسامها، وتسلط الضوء على قسم الدوريات ومدى تلبيته لحاجات طلبة قسم الإعلام بجامعة دمشق دوره في تعزيز ودعم البحث العلمي، كما تعرضت الدراسة لنتائج استبيانيه أعدها الباحث لمعرفة مدى تلبية قسم الدوريات لحاجات طلبة قسم الإعلام بالجامعة. وخلصت الدراسة إلى مجموعة من النتائج والتوصيات والمقترحات. The study deals with the emergence and development of the Central Library of Damascus University and its departments. It also sheds light on the department of periodicals and its responsiveness to the needs of the students of the media department at the University of Damascus, and its role in promoting and supporting scientific research. The study also examined the results of the questionnaire prepared by the researcher to determine the extent to which the periodicals department meets the needs of the students of the media department. The study concluded with a set of conclusions, recommendations and proposals.
