To give a clear indication of the importance of some Ideological State Apparatuses (A.I.E.)/Repressive State Apparatuses (A.R.E.) in El lugar de un hombre by Ramón José Sender, as genuine actors which legitimately participate in the story and give access to the deep meanings of the novel. Such is the purpose of this paper.
