الملخص
The documents related to the shar and dafatir ‘al beylek located in the National Archives in Algeria and in the archive of the countries Overseas in France allowed me to recognize the terminology used in the domain of ‘al waqf in Algeria during the Ottoman period. The waqf’s rich terminology mentioned in the studied documents comprises some terms of which are used in Algeria but do not exist in the texts of ‘al waqf known to the researchers in this area, and some of the other terms related to the waqf used in the Algerian usage are widely spread in the language of the moratorium in the Muslim world. In this study, I will try the repertory of the terms related to the waqf in Algeria during the Ottoman period. I will try, also, to make a semantic study for each term and give their possible synonyms according to the usage in the domain of waqf.
