الملخص
المتتبع لتاريخ الأوقاف الجزائرية خلال المرحلة العثمانية، يظهر له أهمية الدور الذي مارسته هذه الأوقاف في حياة المجتمع الجزائري، حيث قامت على أساسه رعاية شؤون العلماء والتكفل بحاجات الفقراء، والمساكين، والأرامل، واليتامى، وترقية التعليم وإتاحة الخدمة العمومية، وإصلاح الطرقات وحفر الآبار، والإنفاق على الحصون، والشاهد على ذلك وجود مؤسسات خيرية ضخمة عديدة، نشأت في كنف الوقف وبدعم منه. Abstract: The reader of the Algerian endowments history during the Ottoman period, discovers the importance of its role played in the life of Algerian society. It was based upon it: the care of the scientists' affairs, the address of needs concerning the poor, the needy, the widows, and the orphans, and also the promotion of education and public service, and also repairing roads and drilling wells and spending on fortresses. The proof for that was the existence of many huge charitable institutions that arose under the auspices of the endowment and with its support.
