الملخص
This study attempted to determine the shape of the relationship and impact that economic growth rates in Algeria could have on reducing poverty rates and improving the conditions of the poor, To achieve this goal, a standard model for the relationship between the two previous variables was formulated and constructed during 1985-2015,A standard model was obtained which is significant and acceptable. The results of the study showed that there is a relationship and effect of economic growth on poverty rates,However, this effect is very weak, not exceeding (0.003%),This situation is explained by the high inequality in income distribution in Algeria, which limits the ability of the poor to benefit from increased economic growth.
