The Role Of Islamic Banks In Economic Development

Abstract
The recurrence of the financial crisis led to review the financial system and to search for new financial tools that cancel the interest which is adapted in commercial banks. For that, it becomes necessary to adapt Islamic financial means as alternative mechanisms either through Islamic banks themselves or through opening specialized branches in Islamic financing within commercial banks. This paper focuses on defining the main financial tools adapted in Islamic banks, the importance of these tools in the international financial systems and more as the following: • Islamic banks: definition, origins and principles; • Islamic financing tools; • The role of Islamic banks.
