Obstacles of citizenship education in the Algerian school - Sociological approach - Abstract: This study aims mainly to highlight the most important obstacles that prevent the success of the Algerian school through its educational processes at various stages in the consolidation of a culture of citizenship among the learners and awareness of their rights and duties towards their homeland in general, , And towards their local community in particular. Education in its modern concept has become a process of industry for individuals, with all the meanings of the word, where the school is responsible for the quality of the training provided by the result of the product you graduate with all its negative and positive. It has been concluded that there are many social, cultural, institutional and political obstacles that prevent the success of the Algerian school in establishing the principles of citizenship in the personality of the individual it produces for society. This requires a radical revision of the quality of these processes and all the related means and tools .
