This study aims at demonstrating the impact of sexual assault on a child’s self-esteem; and that, through a clinical approach involving five cases of children (3 boys and 2 girls), aged between 13 and 14 years. This study will be based on the inventory of Coopersmith self-esteem. The results show that sexual assault leads to a drop in the victim's self-esteem, and also that this outcome is narrowly related to the reaction of the child’s family whether it is embodied in aggression or indifference, with a lack of parental support.
