Résumé

Algeria's foreign trade was mainly based on protectionist and monopolistic standards dictated by the dominant economic system. But this policy soon proved to be a failure, especially after the sudden collapse of oil prices in the 1980s. In the light of this new trend towards the market economy, it was necessary to give a new impetus to foreign trade by phasing out all the monopolies and restrictions previously imposed on them, and seriously considering integration into the world trading system. Algeria has embarked on a series of reforms to monitor the evolution and changes in the global environment in order to integrate into this market economy, on the one hand, and exit from its rentier economy and improve its resources based mainly on hydrocarbons. On the other hand, it seeks to improve its resources by drawing on other revenues, such as customs revenue, which is a resource and an essential component of the state budget. The subject of our study is the impact of liberalization of foreign trade on customs resources.
