Evaluation In The Field Of Translation Didactics

The present paper, in the applied branch of translation studies , investigates the complex nature of translation didactics .the aim is to discern the various aspects that characterise translation assessment and present our colleagues in the field with the most universally acknowledged evaluation models practitioners have proposed hitherto. Our conclusion evinces that without well-defined evaluation theoretical and empirical norms , the assessment of the translated text will obviously remain subject to personal preference. Evaluators , in fact , have to opt for a model that considers all the facts of translation competence –product , process and procedures alike ; such model has to be realistic , complete, and objective.
