Résumé

This article focuses on language in Algerian companies using data from two field surveys conducted in two major companies’ two major Algerian state companies Sonatrach and Sonelgaz. In this study, we examine the reality of language use in these companies, then we look at the field of language training in identifying language needs of business, understand the issues that underpin them, and finally consider prospects for appropriate training.
