الملخص
The present paper is aiming at highlighting the importance of the collocation theory and the norms upon which it relies in classifying the various espressions usage . The lexicographer may profit of this usage norms and rules to classify all the arabic expressions in use . One of these is the idiomatic expressions that help the researcher to produce a historical lexicon which contains all the idiomatic expressions, including the traditional and the modern oens in their old or new use , tracing them in the various different ressources . This may allow the linguist to have an idea about all the possible combinations that may accur between the linguistic units in arabic .
