الملخص

The transfer of any text from the mother tongue to a second language may cause distortion. This means that it distorts its meanings and lose some of its features, and henceforth the reader hardly recognizes it. Theorists almost unanimously agree that the act of translation should aim mainly at transferring from the foreign language into the translator’s mother tongue. Some even consider that this type of translation task is the only one that deserves to be described as translation and that transferring from the mother tongue to the foreign language is not only a process of imitation, as the French researcher E. Laveault says in her book "Functions of translation in languages teaching”. The subject matter of this paper falls within the field of transferring the meanings of the Qur’anic text, between the abstract transfer of its vocabulary and the transfer of the correct interpretation of its meanings to a second language, other than Arabic.
