الملخص
This study aims to approach the issue of popular culture through the analysis of the articulation existing between the three oncepts of popular culture, values and porwer. The study aims also to raise the important role played by popular culture in transmitting political, social and religious values from one generation to another leading to the establishment of the common imaginary of Ihe sociaI community and preserves the cultural identity of societies. The study shows that popular culture lives in a great paradox, while it is actually always present in all, real life situations helping to consolidate unity among the members of the social community; il is either marginalized or pragmatically exploited by political authorities. Consequently, it is highly recommende to reconsider popular culture. This can be achieved through ttackling thios issue at the intellectual level rather lhan the political one. Hence, cultural issue must be discussed by specialized scholrs far from any political considerations.
