الملخص
Children’s literature has gained in importance across the Arab world recently; plenty of European books have been translated, new local books have been published, in addition to the emergence of children’s theatre, magazines and different pieces of work. And Algeria is not unique in that respect. Due to the importance of this genre nowadays, which is going through a new wave of literary creation, many writers, professionals, amateurs, and beginners are writing for the young public on lots of subjects; stories, theatre, poetry, and songs. Publishers are also interested in printing every kind of children’s literature. All things considered, no serious literary study on children’s literature and its development have been done, one that encompasses images and colors of children’s books, and can be considered as a condensed global work on that genre.
