Résumé

RESUME : L'urbanisation incontrôlée des villes d’Afrique subsaharienne se caractérise par un déficit d’accès aux services de base. A Divo, localité urbaine ivoirienne située à 200 km au Nord-Ouest de la capitale économique Abidjan, l’accès des résidents à l’eau du service public se pose avec des disparités dans le paysage urbain en dépit de son adduction en eau depuis 1969. Le présent article vise à analyser les interactions entre les morphologies résidentielles et modes d'approvisionnement en eau des ménages. L'étude révèle que l'accessibilité à l'eau potable des ménages est dépendant du niveau d’équipement des espaces habités. Par ailleurs, la dégradation de la qualité du service d'eau offert conduit les ménages de cette cité forestière à recourir à l'approvisionnement mixte. ABSTRACT: The uncontroled urbanization of the cities of sub-saharan Africa is characterized by a deficit of access to the basic services. To Divo, Ivory Coast urban locality situated in 200 km in the Northwest of the economic capital Abidjan, the access of the residents to the water of the public service settles with disparities in the urban landscape in spite of its adduction in water since 1969. The present paper aims at analyzing the interactions between the residential morphologies and the modes of water supply of the households. The study reveals that the accessibility to the drinking water of the households is dependent on the level of equipment of the inhabited spaces. Besides, the degradation of the quality of the offered service of water leads the households of this forest city to resort to the mixed supply.
