The Ten Year Plan: The First Stages Towards The Economic Dependency In The Gold Coast (1919-1929)

Abstract
Abstract The present article aims at examing the Ten Year Plan initiated by Sir Frederick Gordon Guggisberg, Governor of the former British colony of the Gold Coast, known presently as the Republic of Ghana. The Plan that was intended to cover the period from 1919 to 1929 was considered as the first step to establish a mono-crop economy dependent on metropolitan economy. A number of points are dealt with among which are: the timing of the Plan, its reasons, financing, objectives and its impact on the future economic infrastructure of the colony. In other words, the establishment of a mono-crop economy in the service of the economies of the centre is examined within the context of the theories of dependency. ملخص يهدف هذا المقال الى دراسة و تحليل المخطط الاقتصادي العشاري بمستعمرة ساحل الذهب سابقا -جمهورية غانا حاليا- و أثره في بناء اقتصاد المنتوج الواحد و الذي يمثل الخطوة الأولى في اتجاه تكريس التبعية الاقتصادية، المخطط العشاري هذا جاء باقتراح من السير فريدريك غوردن غوغيسبرغ خلال فترة حكمه لهذه المستعمرة البريطانية، حيث تقرر أن يتم تنفيذه خلال الفترة من 1919 الى 1929، وسنتناول في هذا المقال النقاط التالية: توقيت المخطط، أسبابه، مصادر تمويله، أهدافه و أثره على البنية الاقتصادية المستقبلية للمستعمرة من خلال ربط أهداف هذا المخطط بنظريات التبعية الاقتصادية و تجسيد فكرة بناء اقتصاديات المحيط لتكون في خدمة اقتصاديات المركز.
