Résumé

The studies made until now could not explain the mechanism of the lengthening of the initial discharge until skirting. Nevertheless, one tested, by our contribution to elucidate the essential causes being able to bring to the propagation of the discharge. In this article, we made a simulation of the system discharge-electrolyte to determine the distribution of the potential and the value of the electric field in the vicinity of the discharge thus if that in the electrolyte. The computed electrical field in a backing region of the discharge is compatible with the development of streamers. Then the pollution level and the presence of partial arcs have a considerable effect on the distribution of the potential and the electric field along the channel. The obtained results will help to find a physical explanation to the extension of the leader of the discharge along channel filled with electrolyte that materialized the layer of pollution.
