الملخص
This article describes in detail the criteria and conditions that must be fulfilled for reserve currency, in addition to displaying the conditions fixed by the International Monetary Fund for the reserve currency that compose special drawing rights. As far as the yuan is concerned, the International Monetary Fund has accepted to integrate the Chinese currency into the currency basket composing its unit of account, special drawing rights, the yuan joins the U.S dollar, the euro, and the British pound, and the Japanese Yen in the very closed circle of the major international reserve currency
